| Pension File notes: Served in the Union Army, Company E, 11th KY Cavalry, with his brother Seth. They were involved in fighting around Knoxville, TN in the fall of 1863. They enlisted together and were discharged together. |

Davis, co E. 11th Regiment Ky Infantry) Sir: To further aid this Bureau in determining the merits of the above entitled claim for pension, be kind enough to answer in your own handwriting the following questions, giving more complete details than your affidavit affords. Very respectfully, George A (?) Raum, commissioner Garrett S. Davis Stockholm KY When did you first see claimant after he returned from the army, and how do you fix the date? Answer: I saw him the day he got home out the service which was July the 8th 1865 Of what disability did he complain, and how was he affected? Answer: nuralgia affecting his eyes Rhumatism affecting his hip, and piles [Hemorrhoids] I have heard him complain frequently How frequently have you seen him since your first acquaintance? Answer: as often as once a month. I lived with him 2 years. If he has continued to suffer with such disability, please describe the symptoms which were apparent to you, and state to what extent he has been disabled for manual labor thereby during each year? Answer: lameness of hip sore eyes and I do not think at any time he was able to do more than half labor and a part of the time not that and at this time he not able to do any thing.
