September 17
Prepare the trial balance on a spreadsheet for year 20X6.  Complete the column headings for the worksheet in accordance to the scheme presented in class.
September 22 Identify any extraordinary items experienced by Casey. You should make any necessary entries on your spreadsheet for the extraordinary item(s), and the relocation loss, 
September 24 Make any necessary entries on the worksheet relating to the the disposal of the Sluggo Division.
Ignore any tax effects given in the case.  Calculate your own tax effects on the disposal items.
October 1
Make appropriate entries related to the change in accounting principle.

Identify any changes in accounting estimate(s) and decide how they should be dealt with in the solution to your case.
Are there any error corrections necessary in year 6?  Year 5? 

October 6
Have year X6 worksheet completed; Read the help and hints for the Tax Calculations. Will answer any questions on completing year X6 --but you have to have questions to answer!!
October 13
Have year X5  worksheet completed : remember to use copy command to save time.  Copy year 6 worksheet to year 5. Erase year 6 trial balance and adjustments: enter year 5 trial balance; make appropriate adjustments to year 5--there will be less year 5 adjustments than year 6!
October 15
 Have EPS completed. --EPS calculations for both years
November 3 Revised
Have financial statements (except for cash flow statement) and footnotes completed
November 5 Revised (attendance not required;) Outside of class help session for cash flow statement at 3:30, Room 529.    You need to bring your print out of comparative balance sheets for 20X6 and 20X5 plus the 20X6 Income statement. These are necessary to develop the Cash Flow Statement. Print out the following items:

    FINAL EXAMINATION

    Remember that the Final Examination is comprehensive in nature.All material covered this semester will be subject for inclusion on the final with the following exception: The sections on Introduction and Rule-making will not be covered on the final examination.The final examination will contain 80 multiple choice questions/problems, and 72 questions will count. In other words, you may miss 8 questions and still have a perfect score on the final exam.

    FINAL EXAMINATION DATE(S):Fall, 2009
    Final examination will be given in accordance with University final examination schedule.


    Final Exam Date: 9:35 class, Thursday, Dec 17;   10:30 am to 12:30
                               2:20 class, Tuesday, Dec. 15;     1:00 pm to 3:00
