Activity A: Why I Should Be President

Activity B: Design a Slogan for your Campaign/Speech

Note: 2 students will need to work on Activity A and 2 students will need to work on Activity B. **BOTH Activities will be completed by the group.**

ACTIVITY A:
Why I Should Be President

1. Using the completed characteristic of a President worksheet--Write a speech about why you think you should be President. Include the following information:

-3 Positive Characteristics you WILL protray.
-3 Negative Characteristics you will NOT protray.
-a slogan to end your speech.

2. Make sure that you are convincing the other students to vote for you for President.

3. Make sure that the slogan you end with matches the slogan from Acivity B.

4. THE REPORTER will need to read the speech to the entire class.

(**ALL OTHER MEMBERS WILL NEED TO HOLD UP SLOGAN SIGNS.**)

ACTIVITY B:
Slogan Design

1. Two (2) students will need to complete this task.

2. On poster board, you will need to design a slogan that will go along with your speech.

3. You need a saying (Ex. Your Group Name for President).

4. The poster boaard must have the following item:

-The Slogan
-Some kind of picture
-At least 3 colors used
-Large writing
-Correct Spelling
-Space: Enite Poster board must be used.

5. See Rubric for the Slogan Design.

6. At the end of the webquest, your group will present the speech (read by the REPORTER and the 3 other students (SCRIBE, MANAGER, and READER) will hold the poster during the speech.
